It emphasizes the need for swift and resolute action to prevent potential threats, even going as far as stating that AI could pose an "extinction-level threat to the human species." The report, obtained by TIME, states that the development of advanced AI and AGI could disrupt global security like the impact of nuclear weapons. While AGI is not currently available, leading AI labs are actively pursuing its creation within the next five years.
